Home of Hope
Home of Hope is the primary organization that Our Hope supports. It is located in Bugembe,Uganda and is home to 20 children with various disabilities. The orphanage was founded by Edith Lukabwe after struggling to find resources for her son Derrick, who was born with cerebral palsy. Children with disabilities are often shunned and abandoned in Uganda due to the stigma that the child's disability is a reflection of the parents, especially the mother. Edith felt the Lord leading her to start a home especially for orphaned children with disabilities. Edith is the director and has a staff of 11 nannies, an OT, a therapy assistant and an administrator.

Mt. Zion Primary School
Our Hope also currently supports Mt. Zion Primary School. They are the only school in the area that serves children with disabilities. The school has a special education teacher and specific program to meet these children's needs. The students live at the school and have a full time caregiver to assist them. We currently have sponsors for 4 children at Home of Hope to attend and another child in the community.
