New Child for Sponsor

                                                               WAMBUZI HENRY

Henry is 6 years old and recently came to live at Home of Hope. His mother has been suffering due to Henry's father abandoning the family and having five children to care for. She was having trouble meeting all of her children's basic needs, in addition to Henry having special needs. Home of Hope is helping to lift the burden from Henry's mother. He is currently unable to sit up by himself, feed himself or walk at this time. With sponsorship Henry will be able to have his basic needs met in addition to receiving much needed therapy services.

New Faces at Home of Hope

Home of Hope has recently added five new children to their home for a grand total of 24!! Edith and her staff have been busy getting to know these precious new children. I am going to post a new child with their profile over the next few weeks so you can get to know them! I would love it if you would prayerfully consider sponsoring a new child to either attend school, if they are able, or on a monthly basis to cover their basic needs of food, clothing, water and medications. If you are interested in sponsoring a child please email me and I can give you more information on the sponsorship program. More than anything we need your prayers as we trust the Lord to keep the staff and children at Home of Hope healthy and for the Lord to continue to provide!

Catherine is 3 years old and has cerebral palsy. She unable to walk or verbally communicate at this time. Her parents passed away and she was staying with a grand father who is also disabled. He was unable to meet her basic needs of food, medication and clean water so she was brought to Home of Hope to receive better care.

JEHOVAH JIREH

"The Lord will provide", this has once again become a reality for Our Hope! As of Friday, we have met our goal of $2000 for the foundation building fund!!! I want to thank the generous donors who contributed to this fund, please know you are making a better future for these kids!!!

Now that we have met our goal, the local church in Jinja will complete the foundation and main building of the new Home of Hope! I will keep you updated on the progress and I look forward to seeing the finished product when we go to serve in June!

Please pray for the kids as they return to school this week and for Edith, the director. Home of Hope has had several sick kids and experienced the loss of one of their precious children during the month of January. God is sovereign even over these tough situations and we pray he continues to receive glory through the partnership of Home of Hope and Our Hope International!

Let the building begin!

I wanted to give an update on the building project! The Lord has provided $1000 toward the foundation needs, Praise the Lord for his provision. I have posted new pictures of the foundation and walls going up. I am so excited about seeing this vision turn into a reality. From the looks of the pictures there will be plenty of room for the kids at Home of Hope to play, grow and learn. Thank you to everyone who has prayed for and donated to this fund! We trust the Lord will continue to provide to reach our goal of $2000. If you are interested in donating please contact me at loveourhope@gmail.com!

Building Project!!!

I have exciting news on a new project at Home of Hope! About a year ago we were able to purchase land in the Bugembe area and we have been praying for an opportunity to begin building there. For years Edith has struggled to pay the rent twice a year but by building on their own land they will no longer have a landlord!! Last week Edith was approached by a local Priest in the Jinja area about starting the building project. They worked up an amazing blueprint and have already begun on the foundation. The team of Ugandan workers have agreed to build the main home for Home of Hope and it could be completed as early as March! The only portion that Home of Hope is responsible for is the cost of the foundation/plumbing and providing food and water to the workers, about $2000. We are currently asking for your prayers for God's provision in each step of this great project.
If you would like to make a donation specifically to the building project it would be greatly appreciated! All checks are tax-deductible and can be made out to Our Hope International and mailed to Jenny Taylor 887 Glennwood Rd. Morris, Al 35116.
Thank you to those who have already made generous donations!!
I am sharing some pictures of the blue print, breaking ground and the beginnings of the foundation! Praise the Lord for His continued provision in this ministry!!

I received news from Edith on Thursday that 11 of the 13 Christmas boxes arrived in Uganda!! These boxes were covered in prayer before they were shipped and prayers have continued to insure their safe arrival so I am overjoyed to share this news!! Please continue to pray for the 2 remaining boxes to arrive, we trust that the Lord will provide their safe arrival soon. Once again I want to thank Trinity United Methodist for their generous donation to make these gifts and their shipping costs possible! Enjoy the pictures of the kids and staff celebrating their Christmas gifts!!

Merry Christmas!!

I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas from Our Hope International!! I pray you have been able to spend the day celebrating God's perfect gift of his son, Jesus Christ, with your family and friends. It is a miracle that God sent his son to live among us, identify with us and then give his life for our salvation. Jesus' gift of life is the reason we have been able to accomplish so much this year through Our Hope International. It has brought me such joy to be able to bless the kids at Home of Hope with Christmas gifts and give the staff a "Christmas bonus". All of this has been possible through bead sales and generous donations from friends, family and Trinity United Methodist Church. I can't say THANK YOU enough!!!
We are still praying the boxes arrive safely in Uganda, hopefully by the New Year. Edith, the kids and staff at Home of Hope celebrated Christmas by having a Jesus birthday party and I am posting some of the pictures from that party, ENJOY!!
